Ten finalists for Impact Incubator, a three-month incubation program for entrepreneurs and individuals who want to change the world, were announced today by Impact Hub Zagreb, who run the incubations program in association with UniCredit Foundation and Zagrebacka banka.
A total of 40 teams from all over Croatia applied with a wide array of excellent, innovative ideas and selecting the finalists was a very challenging experience. We have selected 11 final teams and we are looking forward to helping the finalists change the world, which will begin with a warm up pitching session in which they will meet each other and the Impact Inkubators mentors and begin their journey of social innovations through entrepreneurship, said Hermes Arriaga, the Impact Incubator project leader.
The top eleven finalists are:
Kad Narastem A company that educates children in nutrition and cooking skills
through fun and diverse classes with the goal of teaching about healthy nutrition giving the kids a sense of accomplishment and self steam.
Kasiopea gardens. An organization with a place on the Island of Korčula built according to the principles of permaculture that produces herbs for the production of natural cosmetic products and it serves as an educational point for tourists.
Zuk Aurora . A company that enables economic and social growth of Kupa river area by providing a unique set of touristic experiences like navigating on a replica of a historical boat.
STEMI. A project based learning platform for learning STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Their users are able to purchase DIY kits and access to a gamified online learning platform that guides them through the learning process.
Kliklop. A catering company with the aim to provide homemade, daily fresh, healthy and tasty food to kindergartens and families who care about healthy eating.
Prićaj me. An organization that creates thematic boxes containing material to build toys and quality content for the development of common activities and engaging toys for parents and their children in order to help both parents and children in making their connection stronger and more solid.
Blind Shredding. A company from Čakovec that employs blind persons on jobs destroying confidential papers and other documents, converting people disadvantages in unique advantages for certain activities.
StoryLink An online platform that enables anyone to directly fund home-delivery for families in need. 100% of the donations fund products such as fresh groceries, hygiene, school supplies etc. Transparently.
CAPDPA An organization that offers complete social service of summer vacation for persons with disabilities, creating an opportunity for them to feel included and for their caregivers to have an annual vacation.
Unwinding An organization offering an integrative support for women dealing with negative self-image based on disturbed body-image through individual and group work.
Travabled. A company offering integrated solutions for people with disabilities in the touristic sector through a service: an online global platform that gives traveling advice; and a product: an affordable movable ramp that allows people with reduced mobility to enter formerly inaccessible shops, restaurants and similar facilities.
The best among those who finish the program will get a chance to pitch at the Impact Inkubator Demo Day and win seed grants amounting to EUR 22,500 in total - the UniCredit Foundation Awards, for the three winners of the Demo Day. These best applicants will receive funds support via the YCYP - Your Choice, Your Project Award, distributed through an internal voting program dedicated to Zagrebacka banka employees.
