We have been recognised as a strong supporter of art and music events for decades through playing an important role in the renovation and construction of numerous cultural heritage monuments and setting up large-scale exhibitions.
In 2018 we were the main sponsor of a major cultural project at the Museum of Arts and Crafts –“The sixtiess in Croatia: Myth and Reality”. Over the past decade, in cooperation with museums and galleries all over Croatia, we have supported retrospective exhibitions of Croatian artists such as Slava Raskaj, Mate Celestin Medović and Robert Auer, as well as large exhibitions such as “Van Gogh, Mondrian and the Hague School”, “Marc Chagall” and “The Quiet Rebellion – The Greatest Masters of German Expressionism”.
Adriatic Triptych, realised in collaboration with artist Matko Trebotić, occupies a special place among the series of cultural projects undertaken with the Bank's support, with painted theatre drapes for 3 Croatian National Theatres in Rijeka, Split and Dubrovnik.
Regarding music events, we are especially proud of our support for the Zagreb Philharmonic and the Zagreb Soloists, as well as many other festivals at local and regional level.
Also, in 2003, a year after becoming a member of UniCredit the Bank organized the first visit of the Philharmonic Orchestra of La Scala to Zagreb, and since then we have organized two more visits in 2004 and 2010. All three visits were of great significance from a humanitarian perspective, since the funds raised from ticket sales were donated to worthy initiatives.
