In the year it celebrates 25 years of successful operations, ZB Invest is changing its name to UniCredit Invest. This new phase of development also brings a new role as a regional hub for fund management within the UniCredit Group. The change will give clients access to an even broader range of investment solutions, stronger integration with the international platform, and an additional level of expertise and innovation. At the same time, the core values that have defined the company’s business to date remain unchanged: trust, stability, and responsibility. For clients, nothing changes – investments and fund units, as well as contractual terms and fees, remain the same, as do the expert team and communication and support channels.
“As it enters a new phase, UniCredit Invest becomes a platform that connects local expertise with pan-European strength. We are a platform through which investment solutions and a key component of the UniCredit Group’s growth strategy are developed and scaled. The transfer of deep expertise, built over a quarter of a century, forms the foundation for the continued development of innovative products and their expansion into other Group markets, positioning Croatia as an essential source of expertise within the Group. At the same time, the role of Zagreb as a regional financial centre is further strengthened,” said Maja Bešević Vlajo, President of the Management Board of UniCredit Invest.
This new stage of development and the transition from a leading local UCITS management company to a regional centre of excellence for the Group’s funds are aligned with the umbrella UniCredit Unlimited strategy. The primary focus remains on developing and managing funds across multiple markets through a unified model, as well as playing an active role in the Group’s growth. Creating added value for clients continues to be at the heart of the business. Through the collaboration between UniCredit Invest and Zagrebačka banka, the bank’s clients are provided with broader and simpler access to investment solutions, along with opportunities to invest in financial products within a secure and regulated environment.
ZB Invest was founded in 2000 and is 100% owned by Zagrebačka banka. From the very beginning, it was among the pioneers of the investment fund industry in Croatia and quickly grew into one of the key drivers of capital market development. Through continuous development and a consistent focus on service quality, it established a leading position in the UCITS industry, with a comprehensive product range including money market, bond, balanced, and equity funds, life-cycle funds, capital-protected funds, as well as numerous innovative products and complex investment solutions. Today, the total assets under management of UniCredit Invest exceed EUR 1.5 billion, with a remarkable growth of as much as 69% in 2025, confirming the rising trust of clients and the market.
