Zagrebačka banka introduces the Instant Payment service

Zagrebačka banka has introduced the Instant Payment service for all natural persons and businesses with transaction accounts, in the amount of up to HRK 100,000. Instant payments in Croatia can be made in HRK every day, including weekends and holidays.

Therefore, Zagrebačka banka clients will be able to execute transactions almost in real time, in just a few seconds. Instant payments are executed by using online banking via mobile app (m-zaba) and the Internet (e-zaba), through the existing order forms, by selecting the “Instant Payment” option. Filling out the order for instant payments is the same as for the standard orders. In doing so, the payer can immediately see whether the payment has been made or not.

For example, the client has to transfer money on Friday evening to a person who has a transaction account opened with another bank. So far, it was necessary to wait until Monday for such payments. But this service allows immediate transfer of money to the payee’s account.

Payments are made via NKSInst, the national clearing system for instant payments, developed by the Financial Agency (FINA) and approved by the Croatian National Bank.

Instant payments can be made between Zagrebačka banka and other banks within the NKSInst system. The same applies to instant payments from other banks within the NKSInst system which are made to transaction accounts of Zagrebačka banka clients. The clients will be informed if the payee’s bank is not within the NKSInst system already upon the preparation of an order and selection of the instant option. The list of all banks within the system can be checked on the FINA’s website.
