In accordance with EU Regulation 2021/1230*, individual card users of Zagrebačka banka receive electronic messages from the Bank for card transactions carried out in the currency of the Member States of the European Economic Area (EEA), which are different from the credit card debit currency or debit currency of the debit card account. These notifications will be sent via m-zaba, e-mail or SMS messages.
Business card users do not receive them.

The message contain a notification on the percentage mark-up that Zagrebačka banka applies to convert the transaction amount from the transaction currency to the debit currency over the latest available euro foreign exchange reference rates issued by the European Central Bank (ECB).
ECB mark-ups are available daily in the Zaba exchange rate list for card transactions.
Types of transactions for which you will receive messages
If the transactions are in EEA currencies, but different from the debit currency, transaction information will be provided for:
Individual card users will receive notifications for a card transaction carried out in one of the following currencies CZK, DKK, HUF, NOK, SEK, CHF, PLN, BGN, RON, ISK, if the debit currency per card is different from the specified transaction currency.
All cards of Zagrebačka banka have the debit currency in EUR.
Frequency of receiving messages
For a certain card, currency and transaction type, you will receive a message once per calendar month. You will receive new messages if you make another type of transaction with the same card, in a different currency, or with a different card.
For example: If you make an online purchase in HUF with a debit card of your current account in euro you will receive information about that transaction. If you make another online purchase in HUF with debit card of your current account in euro in the same calendar month, you will not receive a new message.
If you subsequently go abroad and use the same card for an ATM cash withdrawal in HUF, you will receive a message for the first such transaction in a calendar month.

Changing the manner of receiving messages or cancellation
If the manner of receiving messages does not suit you or you do not want to receive them any more, please visit us at any branch of the Bank to change or cancel it.
*The new Regulation (EU) 2021/1230 represents codification of the previous Regulation (EC) 924/2009 on cross-border payments, as well as of all of its successive amendments set out in Regulation (EU) 2019/518 and Regulation (EU) 260/2012. Codification of legislation is a process of incorporating provisions of one or more acts and all amendments thereto into a new legally binding act, repealing the acts it supersedes, without substantially changing the provisions. All references to the previous Regulation (EC) No. 924/2009, repealed by the new Regulation (EU) 2021/1230, shall be construed as references to the new Regulation (EU) 2021/1230.
