Travel insurance is provided exclusively for travelling abroad, in all countries of the world except in high-risk areas (e.g. war-affected areas).
Travel insurance services are available in the event of an accident or sudden illness for an unlimited number of trips abroad during the contracted period when the trip does not last longer than 60 consecutive days. In order to be able to check the length of stay, Mondial Assistance may request the clients to submit a vignette, airline ticket, hotel bill, etc.
Depending on the selected Lepeza package, the client can use particular services of the Travel insurance abroad.
Doctor home visit in case of an accident
- organization of doctor home visits up to the amount of coverage in the event of an accident, and if you spend more than three days in hospital and you need medical home visits
- medication delivery service in case of emergency
- medical transport service to Croatia
Information before travelling
If you have decided to travel abroad and you need certain information, Mondial Assistance Center will provide 24/7 information about the destination country, as follows:
- vaccination requirements
- necessary documents (passport, driving license, visa, etc.)
- air temperature
- time zone.
Information about Croatian agencies abroad
As the user of the Lepeza package, Mondial Assistance Center is at your disposal 24/7 for any information about the agencies which can provide assistance while you are travelling abroad and with which you can communicate in Croatian (such as translation and legal services, etc.).
Information in case of losing documents abroad
If you lose your documents while travelling abroad, call Mondial Assistance Center and get information on the procedure to follow in case of lost documents (e.g. passport, driver's license, vehicle insurance, credit cards, transportation tickets).
Legal aid
In the case of the need for legal intervention in the country you are visiting (e.g. in case of car accident, legal action for incorrect invoice or speeding), Mondial Assistance will cover the costs of lawyers and translation services up to the amount of coverage. This service is not available in the case of criminal activities. In the event that the legal assistance is provided to the person who is later proven to be knowingly involved in criminal activity, the cost of legal aid must be reimbursed to Mondial Assistance.
Journey continuation
If due to an accident or sudden illness you had to stay in a hospital for longer than five working days, and after the treatment you want to join your family on vacation, Mondial Assistance will organize and cover transportation costs up to the amount of coverage.
Baggage delays
If your baggage is delayed at the airport and it is not delivered to you within six hours after the arrival of your flight or within 12 hours to your hotel, after having reported it delayed to Mondial Assistance, Mondial Assistance will cover the costs up to the amount of coverage for necessary clothing, personal hygiene accessories, etc. immediately upon receiving your receipts of payment sent by mail after your return to Croatia. Along with the receipts, you must submit a lost baggage report issued by the airline in support of your claim.
Urgent messages
In case of unforeseen events (strikes, accidents, disease) causing delay or disruption to your travelling plans, upon your request Mondial Assistance can send an urgent message to Croatia to your family or employer as well as make the booking of a hotel or buy an airline ticket on your behalf.
