You often ask us about the fees charged for withdrawing cash abroad. We hope the following information will be useful to you.
If you use a debit card issued on your current account in euros or your giro account in euros included in a Lepeza mogućnosti package, the Start, Smart or Superior service packages, or the Package for the Youth, to withdraw cash abroad from ATMs of UniCredit Group member banks, the Bank will charge you no fees, in accordance with the Fee Tariff Decision.
The UniCredit Group ATM network includes almost 13,000 ATMs in 12 European countries: Austria – Bank Austria; Bosnia and Hercegovina – UniCredit Bank; Bulgaria – UniCredit Bulbank; Czech Republic – UniCredit Bank; Italy - UniCredit Banca, UniCredit Banca di Roma, UniCredit Banco di Sicilia; Hungary – UniCredit Bank; Germany – HVB (HypoVereinsbank); Romania – UniCredit Tiriac Bank; Serbia – UniCredit Bank Srbija; Slovakia – UniCredit Slovakia; Slovenia – UniCredit Banka Slovenija, and Croatia.
At other withdrawal locations, fees will be charged. The fee depends on the type of the card used, and information about the current fees is available in the Fee Tariff Decision.
Before you make a withdrawal, pay attention to any additional messages on the ATM screen since foreign banks, as ATM owners, may charge additional fees for the right to use their ATMs (“Access Fee”), or offer you the possibility to convert the withdrawal amount to the equivalent value in euros subject to a fee and a mark-up – the so-called DCC. This service might be less favourable compared to the option that your account be debited in the currency of the country where you are currently located.
Important: Before visiting a country outside of Europe, please check whether the debit card issued on your current account in euros is active in the entire world. You can change the use model yourself via e-zaba or m-zaba online banking, at one of the Bank's branches, or by calling 01/3789620 (m-zaba/Kartice/Promjena dnevnih limita – Korištenje karticom u inozemstvu).
