Use Zaba cards wherever you are!

For your safety and better cost control, it's a good idea to have Zaba cards when you travel. You can use them to make payments anywhere in the world and online.

Currency conversion

If the payment currency is listed in the exchange rate list for card transactions, the single conversion from the foreign currency to euro will be made by Zagrebačka banka, by applying the Bank's exchange rate list for card transactions (choose Cards) or in the Bank branches.
Currencies in the exchange rate list for card transactions are: AUD, CAD, CZK, DKK, HUF, JPY, NOK, SEK, CHF, GBP, USD, RSD, BAM, PLN.

If the currency is not listed in the exchange rate list, the conversion will be carried out by applying the currency conversion rules and the exchange rate list used by Mastercard and Visa credit card companies.

Choose your payment currency!

In some stores and ATMs abroad, you will be offered Dynamic Currency Conversion - DCC. In that case, choose the currency in which you wish to debit your account:

  • in the currency of the country where you are located (in which case the conversion is performed by Zagrebačka banka ) or
  • conversion into EUR, which is performed by a foreign bank. In addition to the offered equivalent amount in EUR, the margin and/or fee charged by the foreign bank will also be displayed on the screen.

For Zaba cards users, it is usually most convenient to make a transaction in the currency of the country where they are located.
