Please contact our Contact centre on toll-free number 0800 00 24 or visit your closest branch.

You can make payments in EUR, USD, CHF, AUD, CAD, DKK, JPY, NOK, SEK, GBP, RSD and BAM.
You choose the cost option for the respective payment order. This is a manner of settling the costs of the Bank and foreign banks for processing the payment order. The options are:

  • “OUR” (our) – all costs are borne by the payer (costs of the Bank and costs of intermediary/foreign banks)
  • “SHA” (shared) – shared costs – the payer bears the costs of their bank, the payee bears any costs of the foreign banks.

From 1 July 2013, i.e. from the date of the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union, the rules for the application of cost options are:

  • for cross-border payments (to the Member States of the European Economic Area in the currency of the Member States, without a currency conversion in the order) the mandatory and only possible cost option is SHA. Then the payee receives the full amount of the payment initiated by the payer – intermediary foreign banks do not charge their costs/fees from the amount of the payment to be sent to the bank of the payee. The bank of the payee can charge its order processing fee to the payee.
  • for all other cross-border payments and international payments (to countries which are not members of the European Economic Area) the cost options OUR or SHA can be applied.
-SHA does not ensure that the payee shall receive the full payment amount. The potential cost of foreign banks may be charged from the amount of the payment to be sent to the payee bank and the payee may not receive payment in full.
-OUR ensures that the payee receives the full payment amount. The fee you pay to the Bank for this cost option includes all costs, therefore, there will be no subsequent debit to your account for fees.

Note: if the payment is denominated in USD, regardless of the cost option, it is possible that the potential foreign bank cost is charged from the payment amount, which we cannot influence.

IBAN is a unique international identifier for the client's account in the bank determined in accordance with the international standards of the European Commission on Banking Standards ISO 13616. IBAN, introduced on 1 July 2003 on the basis of an agreement among the EU Member States, is one of the basic conditions for automatic processing of payment orders in the banks of the European Union.
If IBAN is not specified on the payment order, foreign banks subsequently charge for processing costs.
If you submit the payment order electronically, IBAN is entered without blanks or spaces, and on the payment order in paper form every four characters must be separated by one blank space.
Croatian IBAN contains 21 alphanumeric characters, and your IBAN in Zagrebačka banka is visible in the business account statement.

Information on your account IBAN are available via:

  • e-zaba, m-zaba and in all our branches
  • statements and other receipts for account transactions (for example, ATM receipt)
  • Debit Visa cards.

A separate form with your account IBAN can be issued to you via e-zaba and in the Bank's branches free of charge.

The Bank shall provide you with the conversion of the payee's account number to IBAN upon entering a payment order. This service shall be provided for all payee accounts in the Bank as well as the accounts of business entities in other banks in the Republic of Croatia. In the case of payments to natural persons in other banks in the Republic of Croatia, please ask the payee for their IBAN.
