You have to follow these steps for payment:

Payment with phone or tablet

• Hold your phone over a POS device at a cash register counter which accepts contactless payment with Visa/Mastercard cards (if a POS device does not recognise the phone, you have to press “Home“ button twice to activate Apple Pay).
• Unlock your mobile device screen (by entering the password or pattern, or by scanning a fingerprint or face) and hold your mobile device next to POS.
• Transaction is successful.

Payment with Apple Watch

• Hold your watch over a POS device at a cash register counter which accepts contactless payment with Visa/Mastercard cards (if a POS device does not recognise Apple Watch, you have to press the side button twice to activate Apple Pay).
• Before the first transaction, you have to unlock the watch screen by entering the set password for unlocking the device.
• You don’t have to authorise your next transactions as long as the watch is on the wrist. It is enough to hold the watch over a POS device to execute a transaction.
• In order to make another payment with the Apple Pay service on Apple Watch after removing the watch from the wrist, you have to unlock the watch screen by entering the set password for unlocking the device.
